How does an F1 prediction work on IzyRace?

Predictions for a Grand Prix open the day after the previous one.
You rank the top 10 of the race (top 8 for a Sprint) by dragging the drivers. It takes two minutes.
You can change your prediction until qualifying starts (Sprint qualifying on a Sprint weekend).
After the race, points are worked out automatically from the official result, and recalculated if a penalty changes the classification.
The next day, a 3-question quiz on the race is worth up to 3 more points.

The scoring: only the right position scores

A driver in the exact position scores one point. Consecutive exact positions form a combo, and combos multiply the points: 2 in a row are worth 4 points, 3 are worth 9, 4 are worth 16. Getting P1, P2 and P3 in order (the perfect podium) adds 3 bonus points.

IzyRace also derives a constructors' ranking from your picks, with nothing more to do: each team in the right place in the top 5 scores one point. In all, a race is worth up to 58 points, a Sprint 28, and the quiz 3.

The scoring is public and the same for everyone: no hidden bonus, no 'bold' predictions counting double. The details are in the guide.

A private league to play with friends

The fun part is playing against people you know. Create a league in seconds and share its invitation link on WhatsApp, Instagram or Discord: your friends join it even before they have an account.

After each Grand Prix, the league standings update and can be shared as an image. You see who climbs, who drops and who called the weekend. There is also a global leaderboard to measure yourself against every player.

No live screen: the app doesn't steal the race

On IzyRace, everything is played before qualifying. During the race there is nothing to do on your phone: you watch F1, not another screen. Notifications come before predictions close or after the results, never during the race.
